SoleRoots Racing Summer Running Camp - High School Edition

Read time ~ 5 minutes

What a week we had for running! We had our second and final SoleRoots Racing Summer Running Camp! A number of schools were represented at this year’s camp. We had runners from Central High School, Oak Mountain Academy, North Paulding, and Grady High School.

These runners are dedicated to the sport we all love. A huge shout out to all the student-athletes that committed their time to camp. Each one committed to waking up early (not easy for a high schooler during summer break) to run and learn during the week of July 20-24. Coach Jonathan Horsely of Central High School had many of his runners attend and he was there to coach and learn! We also had a local standout show up to run with the high schoolers. Josh Beam of Point University showed the runners that you can still compete in the sport after high school. Josh’s PRs are 15:48 in the 5K and 33:29 in the 10K and we only expect him to get faster!

We always look forward to hosting running camps, and we look forward to hosting more. Stay tuned to our social outlets for more information on future adult and student running camps! Enjoy the highlights from the camp below.
